Georgia Film Critics Association (GFCA)
Promotes film criticism and the film industry within the state of Georgia.
Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA)
Trade group representing independent production companies and producers. Good data source. Some of it requires membership.
Independent Filmmaker Project
A non-profit organization created to support the work of artists and technicians working in independent film.
International Documentary Association
Non-profit association, founded in 1982 to raise public consciousness of the documentary's importance. With almost 2500 members in 50 countries, it is the only organization in the United States focusing solely on documentaries and documentarians.
Local 600
International Cinematographers Guild members - Directors of Photography, Camera Operators and Assistants, Visual Effects Supervisors, Still Photographers, Publicists and more - are part of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. The IATSE is comprised of highly skilled technicians working in film, television, live entertainment, animation, special effects and new media.
Motion Picture Association of America
The MPAA is the main advocacy organization for American film, home video and television producers. This web site includes industry news & issues, statistics, ratings information, and more.
National Religious Broadcasters

International Association of Business Communicators
A trade association for business communications professionals with approximately 16,000 members and 100 chapters. IABC hosts networking events and other programs to help recent graduates, publishes a code of ethics, and hosts the Quill awards.
International Communication Association
An academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching, and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication.
National Communication Association
Founded in 1914, the NCA promotes the widespread appreciation of the importance of communication in public and private life, the application of competent communication to improve the quality of human life and relationships, and the use of knowledge about communication to solve human problems.
Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)
World’s largest and foremost organization of public relations professionals. PRSA provides professional development, sets standards of excellence and upholds principles of ethics for its members.
