Research Guides

Literary Reference Center provides a wealth of information you can access to effectively conduct literary research and write research papers.  In addition, the Academic Resource Center is an academic lab which provides free tutoring to all currently enrolled students. One of the main services of the Center is to provide writing assistance.

Boolean Searching

You can use Boolean searching in the library catalog and most databases to make your searches more effective. If you need help using Boolean searching in a database, check that database's help screen, or ask a librarian.

Here is a quick look at the three Boolean operators, AND, OR, and NOT.
