General information for faculty of Emmanuel College regarding the policies and practices of the Shaw-Leslie Library.

coffee, books & leavesWelcome! The days are getting shorter, the nights a little colder. Soon Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here! If you need a quiet place to study or a hot chocolate to warm up with, come and visit the library. If you need online assistance, we can help with that as well.

 

Logging into your library account:  If it is your first time on the Shaw-Leslie Library page, you will need to create an account by clicking on the button in the upper right corner. You will need your EU ID number to create the account. After you have created your account, you may login and check your library information at any time, from any where, by clicking on the "Login" button in the upper right of the screen. You do not need to sign in to access links on the homepage or to look in the catalog for information, but there are other services available only when logged in.

My Info displays information about your transactions with the library. To access this information, or to place requests, just login to your Shaw-Leslie Library account and click on the tab "My Info".

What's in Your Account:  

In "My Info" there are two tabs. The first is "Patron Status" The following items can be viewed here:  

Items Out contains a list of materials checked out to you, item due dates, and information about the items. To renew a charged item, click the "Renew" button next to the item or click on "Renew All" at the bottom right of the list of materials.  

Holds contains the title of the requested item and the status of the item (pending or available).

Fines contains information regarding any monetary charges you may have acquired.

The second tab is "Resource Lists".

The default list here is "My Personal List". One can also create other lists, making them private or public. To find out more about using Resource Lists, click on the "How do I..." tab in the top right of the window, or contact a librarian.
